Wow, this episode really made me miss New York Metropolis.

level 1

I don't listen watching episodes of completely dissimilar characters. They were very interesting every bit well.

Just FUUUUUUUUCK the silent office.

level one

Nicolas Cage sounded just like Andy Samberg's impression of Nicolas Cage.

level 1

Did anyone else get some heavy Slacker vibes from this episode how it kind of just wandered from person to person and just capturing an essence of that particular state of New York. Also the whole show reminds me of Linlater what with long shots of people just walking and having conversations about life in general. I don't know maybe it'south just me

level i

Liked the doorman story, the others not and so.

level 1

I thought this episode was fantastic.

level 1

That ending on Death Castle tho. I idea they'd be a twist but I never thought it was gonna be that fashion

Loved this episode!!! Loved the collection of these peoples' stories. I liked that information technology was only pocket-sized snapshots too. Non their whole lives in one five infinitesimal block, but just that 24-hour interval, who they were at that moment in time. A quality episode, easily i of the best, if non the best so far.

Loved it!!!!

This feels like ane of those episodes where you know that it'southward of extraordinary quality and is a real work of art, merely you still don't relish it because it'due south just not what you're into. Was disappointed with this episode even though I know it will have lots of praise, and I exercise capeesh what was done here. Merely not my thing.

level 1

Oh my God, I remember this will be the best episode of the flavor. I admittedly loved this. I want an entire bear witness of episodes similar this.

EDIT: Reading through a lot of the comments here, I'k very pitiful. :/

level 2

Yous might relish high maintenance on hbo

I really enjoyed information technology too, but the thing is the stories were way also short and varied so wildly in tone that it felt really grating. However that said I actually enjoyed all of the stories I enjoyed the ones with the doorman and the cab drivers the most since they were the virtually lighthearted and interesting to me, I would love to watch them as their own shows considering of how solid the characters and writing was. The deaf girl on the otherhand I liked, just it didn't feel as fleshed out, her character needed some more time to be developed mostly considering the scene in the park dragged on for a bit also long and didn't actually practise much to establish her character because it was mostly just feiendly ribbing with no existent substance other than setting up her relationship issues, it was ultimately pointless though because they just accept the argument in the next scene anyway, which in shorts wasted time is the worst considering of how fiddling fourth dimension you have to tell the story and found everyone in the story which is probably why her boyfriend felt so bland. I understood the audio design pick of cutting out the audio to put the audition into her shoes which was intresting merely it was fashion too sudden a change I would of preffered it if the main characters interacted with each other to help ease into the transition like if the jacket guy had checked out with the deafened girl and the sound fades out as he tries to become her attending to ease into the transition and the deaf girl got in the black guy'due south cab every bit music fades in and he would great them and they don't answer to him and just mitt him a phone or note that says the address they are going to and he talks to his friend about how rude some clients are, the joke being irony of the situation.

level one

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this episode. So many untold stories wrapped into one.

level i

I got really weirded out when I unexpectedly laughed during the deaf scene and the just thing I could hear was my real laughter. That scene was excellent.

level ane

Death Castle seemed similar one of the fake movies on Seinfeld

level i

Every bit a New Yorker, I really loved this episode. Lucky'south has some awesome burgers too.

level 1

Real talk, exercise club bouncers actually get to decide who gets in and who doesn't or is that just a picture show/television trope? Wouldn't that be discrimination?

level 2

Happens for sure in London. Heard a number of stories where guys haven't gotten in because they had no girls with them.

level 2

It's definitel yhappened to me at Las Vegas nightclubs that were popular.

You're a guy with no girls to bring in? $200 cover. You're a hot girl bringing her friends? Come on in, no charge.

level 2

One-half and half. They'd be in mad shit if they rejected a few blackness guys from the club, but it would be totally okay to reject them if those guys seemed fifty-fifty a little fucked up.
